Even after only two years on campus, Zeta Beta Tau has begun to establish itself as A Powerhouse of Excellence here at Florida State University. With Zeta Beta Tau you will have unique opportunities that no other Greek organization can offer you. Since we have a non-pledging policy, you will be able to have an impact on our fraternity and the campus as a whole immediately. You will be able to participate in socials, athletics, philanthropies, and anything else that our fraternity has to offer immediately, rather than having to go through a pledge process. We believe new initiates earn their membership and respect by helping our fraternity on a day-by-day basis rather than through a pledge process. We are positive we will be a force to be reckoned within the immediate future. Don’t pledge a fraternity, join one, and become part of the revolution.

Zeta Beta Tau was first established at Florida State in 1988, and was part of the campus community until 1994. ZBT was re-established as the Zeta Alpha Colony by Darrell Henry in 1998 and remained an off-campus fraternity for many years. Recently, the Zeta Alpha Colony was re-founded by existing dedicated Brothers and men who wanted to see Zeta Beta Tau here again at Florida State University. Through much hard work and dedication the Zeta Alpha Colony has achieved its goal by regaining its colony status and becoming a member of the FSU Interfraternity Council on February 9, 2010. Now part of the campus community, ZBT looks to find outstanding men who would like to join this “Powerhouse of Excellence” at Florida State University.
Intellectual Awareness – Fraternity creates an atmosphere conducive to the expansion of the individual’s intellectual horizons, the interchange of ideas within the academic community and the pursuit of scholastic excellence.
Social Responsibility – Fraternity requires the individual to commit himself and accept his responsibility to participate.
Integrity – Fraternity generates a standard of personal integrity – a framework for the individual to maintain honesty, exhibit loyalty and retain a sense of self-discipline.
Brotherly Love – Fraternity inspires and expresses the interrelation of the individual with his fellows, his pride in the institution and respect for the wisdom of its tradition.
